Therefore the training of your Auditors and the way you manage your Internal Audit program should not be an afterthought.
Internal Auditor Training Course
Many companies send their Internal Auditors to Lead Auditor Courses. These courses are expensive and moreover teach you how to audit another company. The methods and tools for auditing your own company are very different.
In our two-day course we will provide your Internal Auditors with the skills and tools they need to be effective from their very first audit. We will provide you with an audit philosophy, a procedure, checklist, and schedule to get your program moving right away. Many training providers rely upon your employees to develop their own checklists. This is difficult to do and can lead to inconsistencies in auditing and therefore should be done by someone with a thorough understanding of the standard.
Importantly, our audit course helps your auditors understand the meaning of the standard, not just the written rule. This will enable them to find their way through the gray areas and provide value to your Management System, beyond just being "problem finders".
We also make sure that your auditors understand that their role is not punitive. They are not the ISO Police. Rather, they are there as both Teachers and Students in order to help the company maintain consistency and find opportunities for improvement.
Internal Audit Management
For Internal audits to be a benefit to your company, not a busy-work headache, they must be done regularly, consistently, and professionally. When this is not possible with internal resources, your Internal Audits should be outsourced. Continuing with a broken system will only hurt the reputation of the documented Management System making compliance and benefits from registration harder and harder to obtain. Depending upon the resources you have available and your specific needs we have three service level options to choose from.
Turnkey
With this service level we will act as your Internal Audit coordinator and staff. We will perform all of your Internal Audits, manage your schedule, perform follow-up audits, provide consulting assistance where appropriate, maintain all documentation, and meet with the Registrar during registration and surveillance audits as appropriate.
Coordinator
With this service level, we will act as your Internal Audit coordinator. We will manage your internal audit schedule, work with your Internal Audit staff to complete audits, perform some audits ourselves, maintain all documentation, and meet with the registrar during surveillance audits as appropriate.
Guidance
With this level of service, we will monitor the activities of your Internal Audit Coordinator and Audit Staff, participate in audits with your staff to provide training and oversight, and participate in surveillance audits as necessary. We can also assist you in the development of internal audit tools such as an audit report, checklist, and procedure to maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of your Internal Audits.
